Anti-Trump Protester Hit By Car
During the earlier part of the protest, a woman was struck by a car on Telegraph Avenue and Highway 24, the California Highway Patrol said.
Protesters, who predominantly appeared to be students and other millennials, burned Trump effigies, smashed windows of the Oakland Tribune newsroom, and set tires, trash and newspaper stands on fire in Oakland and Berkeley.
At least 50 protesters marched from downtown to state Highway 24, where a protester was hit by a car near the Claremont Avenue off-ramp. The victim was being treated for serious injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
