Illegal Immigrants Cause Collapse on French Island of Mayotte
One in Three Illegal Immigrants on Mayotte
French island of Mayotte on verge of collapse
The Indian Ocean island of Mayotte has been a department of France since 2011, but locals feel abandoned by the country’s central authorities. Despite the French prime minister announcing a series of measures at the start of this month, locals say the island is on the verge of collapse. Our team reports from Mayotte.
